Sale totals from the 2020 Grimes County Fair are in.
According to a Facebook post late last week, the Grimes County Fair page said they were ecstatic to announce sale totals, including add-ons, of $597,410
While many of the Fair events were not held as normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Commissioner David Dobyanski and County Judge Joe Fauth commended the fair board for even having the fair, which many surrounding counties did not get.
“Very good that our kids had the opportunity to show their animals, and get them sold at the fair this year. All the hard work that went into that, and having to rearrange things to get it done,” said Dobyanski.
“The Fair Board…had a difficult task, and worked through that difficult task, in allowing the fair to be presented. And the key items of the fair…the showing of the animals, the auctions, it went off very well,” Fauth added.
For exhibitors, the County Fair reminds folks that final sales and add-ons have been posted under the auction tab at grimes county fair dot com. They ask you look at your appropriate sale, and complete your thank you notes by the required deadline, which is July 1st.
