249 Toll Road Can Now Collect Land

September 22, 2016 by Willy1550

TxDoT can start acquiring land in Grimes County for the 249 Toll Road. TxDoT’s Bobby Colwell tells Navasota News the results of the just-released environmental review find no significant impact to southern Grimes.

District Director of Transportation Chad Bohne says the department will give affected land-owners a chance to speak with representatives about their property’s perceived worth. But he predicts none of this will start until next year.

Furthermore, Bohne adds, TxDoT doesn’t encourage land-owners to change their land in preparation for the impending toll road. Just wait for a TxDoT representative to contact you, and start from there.

As the 249 Toll Road project progresses, Navasota News will tell you about it.
