A former Navasota resident was jailed for his second DWI last weekend.
According to the Bryan PD arrest report, they received a call for a disturbance at the Kroger on Booneville Road on early Sunday morning. The reporting party stated that a vehicle was chasing them in the parking lot.
The officer saw a car matching description on William J. Bryan Parkway, and observed the car attempt to make a left turn onto the overpass, and strike the median splitting the roadway, before travelling east on the overpass toward Booneville.
The driver when stopped, in addition to having blood shot eyes, was unable to present his drivers license, reaching into the same pocket multiple times. The man stated he had four 12 ounce beers that evening, and agreed to a sobriety test, which he subsequently failed.
He was arrested, and identified as 27 year old Jonathan David Linthicum of Bryan, formerly Navasota. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Linthicum had a previous DWI conviction in June 2015.
He was released from jail the same day after posting a $4,000 bond.
