A Navasota man received an over 50 year prison sentence last week for possessing illegal weapons while on parole.
According to the news release from the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, they sentenced 63 year old Charles Craddock for Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a Felon.
Craddock was on parole, when officers responded to his home in January 2020 on a tip that two wanted men might be at his residence. When searching the home, they found a baggie of methamphetamine on Craddock’s bed, plus a safe in the living room which contained a loaded .38 revolver, ammunition, and found more weapons and drug paraphernalia in the home.
At the time, Craddock was on parole for a murder, to which he was sentenced 45 years. Craddock was also previously convicted of numerous crimes, including flooding the Brazos County Courthouse after his murder conviction.
Craddock was given a 55 year sentence last Friday.
