Monday evening update:
Congressman Bill Flores of Bryan spent 60 minutes on the phone Monday night with constituents of District 17.
Flores fielded 15 questions after providing an update on what is being done about illegal immigrant children crossing the Texas border and the latest work by a veterans health care conference committee of which he is a member.
The congressman also asked those who listened to the conference call to select one of seven options of the most important issue facing America today.
The results were 29% presidential overreach, 19% immigration and border security, 18% federal spending and the deficit, 12% jobs and the economy, 10% Obamacare, 9% other, and 4% veteran’s issues.
One caller suggested adding an eighth option, all of the above, which Flores says he would do in future conference calls.
