11 more vehicle burglaries took place in College Station over the weekend. Police also report two Houston men were arrested after being caught taking a cooler out of the bed of a pickup parked at the city’s utility center off Graham Road. Lt. Chuck Fleeger says neither suspect matches the picture of a man caught on surveillance inside an unlocked SUV parked in the garage of a home. 19 year old Anthony Mendoza and 20 year old Miguel Nava were arrested for misdemeanor burglary.
Meantime, someone broke into ten vehicles between Friday night at 6 and Saturday morning at 8 at the Caldwell Country Express Center on Southwest Parkway. Fleeger says there was forced entry into some vehicles…some owned by the dealer and others owned by customers. That brings to 43 the number of vehicle burglaries in College Station over the last three weeks.
