If you are a young person, or know of one, who’s not familiar with grimes county’s 4-h program, come find out what you’re, or they’re missing at this evening’s(9/25) enrollment night.
Extension’s Kim Hall tells Navasota News, the 4-H organization has so much to offer the students of Grimes County, from showing animals all the way to shooting events and more.
It gives kids a chance to experience leadership, learn and sometimes travel, Hall continues. 4-H even gives members a chance to go to Washington DC for 4-h congress or a college by benefit of a scholarship.
But, she says, 4-h also gets a lot of help from adult and parent volunteers as club managers, advisors or project leaders.
Member enrolment is $20 until the end of the month when it goes up to $25
Once again to sign-up or find out more, go to the extension office at 203 veterans memorial right here in Navasota this(October 25th)evening from 5 to 7. Or you can call 936-873-3912.
