If you’d like to start your own business, there’s a free workshop in Navasota next week that can help find start-up loans. Prairie View A&M’s Rosita Oliver says it’s all about five “C”s. The first being what community impact your business would have and what quality of job creation you have.
Then there’s credit and character, Oliver tells Navasota News, which deal with your credit history and minimum requirements for particular loans.
Another is capacity cash flow, figuring out if you have enough money to service the debt and principle.
Then collateral, she goes on, which is a second possible type of repayment that lenders would find acceptable.
And lastly, capital and learning the debt to equity ratio.
During the program you will be encouraged to ask questions, Oliver continues, because the speaker, Center Director Bridget Ross, wants everybody on the same page.
The free workshop will be held in the Navasota Center from 5 to 6:30 next Tuesday evening (10/21). But you must pre-register, either by calling 1-936-261-9242 or at pvamu.sbdcnetwork.net.
