Once again, Christmas in the County of Grimes has proven to be a time of great charity. And now, one concerned citizen is taking it to the next level with what he’s calling “The Hunger Project.”
Anderson’s Perry Ealim tells Navasota News, the project will help feed our needy neighbors and starts New-Year’s day while partnering with a non-profit called Doyal Management Group to make 2015 the year of the family.
Ealim stresses, his vision is of the program is much more than just a hand-out. And says, by getting able-bodied people in need, to trade time serving the community they will receive food. And will hopefully instill a give and take mentality instead of an entitlement.
The project is still in its infancy, Ealim explains, and there’s a place for everyone who wants to be part of it. If that’s you, you can get more information by emailing pbealim@gmail.com or by calling 936-244-5046.
