The Navasota ISD brought home the gold this past weekend, and now you can, too, during HEB’s 3rd annual Community Challenge.
The districts Ronnie Gonzalez tells Navasota News the school jumped into the competition with fervor by forming lesson plans and activities centered on health, after Mayor Burt Miller, on behalf of the Navasota Community, accepted the challenge.
Even kindergarteners got in on the action, Gonzales continues, by playing video games that use interactive dance mats. And as part of the challenge, he goes on, they took pictures of all the activities and posted them to the challenge website.
And if you think it’s too late to help to score some points, Mayor Miller says you can still help the city move up in the rankings.
The city is currently sitting in second place, miller reports, and it is your actions that could make the difference in making a healthier tomorrow and getting Navasota into first place.
The contest ends Sunday April 12th and once again the website is www.hebcommunitychallenge.com.
