If the recent rains have left you cold, you’ll get a chance to warm yourself up this Friday while raising money for the community, at the Knights of Columbus’ first-ever Cajun Dinner.
The KC’s Marvin Longabaugh tells Navasota News, there’ll be a mysterious game called the Danberry Shuffle during the inaugural dinner, which will let one lucky guest leave the event with both a full belly and a full pocket.
But the main attraction Longabaughn says, will still be the gumbo. And the event’s cook is making so much, he adds, he’s making it his mission to make sure they run out.
While the event may be new, he continues, the mission it supports is still the same; the Knights of Columbus’ continuing support of needy families and children in the County of Grimes.
The Cajun Dinner starts at 5 Friday (06/26) evening at the KC hall just South of Anderson on highway 90. For more information or to volunteer, call 936-825-9000.
