Going once…going twice… approved! An auction house is coming to Navasota’s Manley st, after City Council gave the go ahead to Navasota’s Neil Bosse for a series of specific use permits on a property adjacent to the little league baseball fields.
Local realtor Max Brand argued the auction house would not only be a fine addition to the area, but also better fit than other proposals. Councilman Geoff Horn agreed, while expressing his concern about the proximity of the little league diamonds.
As the auction house plans on being a regular Saturday event, auctioneer Barbara Brooks reassured council it will work with the little league to manage any possible weekend traffic issues.
Horn also reasoned the new business could possibly produce a side benefit of reducing vandalism and loitering in the area, as the building has remained unused for quite some time now.
