Our two-time state champion Navasota Rattlers’ first game of the new season is this Saturday at Rattler Stadium, where they’ll take on Nuevo Leon. And the energy will start to rise beforehand at the season’s first tailgate party.
Last year’s tailgates were so disorganized, says Booster Club member Stacy Ross, people could be seen driving in circles, trying to find the celebrations. This year, she promises, no matter who is in charge of setting it up that week, it will be in the same spot every time.
Ross tells Navasota News, Rattler fans form a unique community and strive to support each other in every facet of Rattler football. And through the tailgates, she adds, you can help out while enjoying a meal all for the price of a tailgate ticket.
And though those ticket prices will vary on the meal, Ross estimates it shouldn’t cost you more than five to eight dollars.
You can get your tickets for this Saturday’s Rattler Tailgate (08/29) at Navasota High School and support the Rattler Cheerleaders, tickets are just $7.
