If you live in Navasota, you now have two chances a year to throw out your junk. And one is this week. So if your garage, attic or whatever storage space you use needs clearing out, listen up.
Mayor Bert Miller tells Navasota News, just like last spring, you can throw out just about anything that is cluttering up your home and at the same time, aid the Texas Blues Capital with its ongoing beautification efforts.
Miller says, the city will once again have a huge paper shredder out on Saturday, so you can rest assured that any old documents you don’t need anymore, are destroyed right in front of you.
But, although there is a preverbal laundry stuff you can dump, he warns there are a few things that won’t be accepted, such as: paint, yard-waste, hazardous-waste, chemicals, pesticides and the like.
Navasota’s new fall city-wide clean-up will run from Thursday through Sunday at the City’s Services Building. For more information call, 936-825-64-75.
