It took county commissioners less than thirty seconds of discussion last Tuesday to go ahead and lift Grimes County’s Burning Ban Immediately.
Due to a request from the DA’s Office, and at no cost to the county, the court also approved a state grant to add an additional victim assistance coordinator to their staff.
Also, the court okay’d a request from Entergy to place a 230 kilovolt transmission line within the rights of way of County Roads 212, 217 and 242.
And the commissioners not only came to terms with a private fracking company for a temporary 10-inch water line within the right of way of Roesee Road, but the county will now use those negotiations with new gulf resources to craft forms specific to what new gulf’s Roy Holloway assured them would certainly be similar requests in the future.
