Students from all over Grimes are heading down to the Houston Livestock Show, and as Anderson Shiro FFA’s Stacy Cosby says some of her students have already returned with high honors from San Antonio and others.
Cosby tells Navasota News nearly two dozen of her kids will be taking part in Houston this year; some with lambs, heifers, pigs or turkeys that they have been tending to for so long.
While others have forged mechanical projects for visitors to peruse and in some cases even purchase.
And of course students from Navasota High School are also joining in the fray. Ag-Teacher Lee Stacey reports some of his students have also earned a few titles this year and hopes to see his kids do well.
The Houston Livestock Show is already underway and both Cosby and Stacy have students riding in and out of the county for the next few weeks. We at Navasota News wish all this year’s participants good luck, can’t wait to see what the FFA Rattlers, Owls and Iola Bulldogs bring back this time, and will let you know about it when they do, right here on Navasota News.
