Grimes County families whose homes and businesses were affected by rains, storms, tornadoes and flooding in April and again in May have been assured they will receive federal assistance.
But if you own a small business, the Small Business Administration’s Burl Kelton tells Navasota News, even if you’ve already applied and registered for April’s storms, you’ll want to . . . And need to do so again.
If you were hit by both storms and are approved in both instances, Kelton explains, you could get two separate loans from the SBA. But just like last time, first you’ll need to get registered and then they’ll need to drop by to assess the damage.
The Federal Emergency Management agency is also accepting applications from our most recent floods. But you need to get a move on. The deadline to apply for both SBA and FEMA aid for May’s storms is TODAY, to register, go to www.disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362, today.
