It’s time once again for the annual Grimes County Crimestoppers Banquet. It’s on Saturday, January 21st. and Coordinator Connie Clements says it’ll be extra special, because it’ll mark the 35th year for the organization.
So, Clements tells Navasota News they want to honor everyone this year who has helped guide the program through the last three and a half decades; Officers-of-the Year, board members and others.
They’re especially eager to touch base with all of the Officers-of-the-Year from the 80s and 90s. So, Clements asks anyone who is or know someone who should be honored to call her at 936-825-8687.
Navasota’s First Baptist Church is hosting this year’s banquet in its Childrens’ Sanctuary on Saturday, the 21st. Doors open at 6 with Ya Ya’s delicious chicken spaghetti served at 6:30.
As usual, it’s free to local law enforcement officers and their families. Everyone else is welcome to leave whatever donation they’d like. there’ll also be the usual live and silent auctions. if you have anything you’d like to donate, contact Marilyn Bettis at 936-894-22-63.
