Luger-luggers Rejoice! The 8th annual Grimes County Gun Show returns to the Grimes County Expo Center (Fairgrounds) this weekend. Friends of Grimes Dounty’s Dianna Westmoreland says its one of many events they produce to benefit our local community.
The Friends began their gun show three years into their epic Bubba Can Cook competition (coming this September) and Westmoreland says she’s surprised at the number of folks it draws, men and women. She admits it’s mostly men, though. Probably, she guesses it’s about an 80-20 mix.
Doors will be open from 9 to 5 Saturday, the 15th, and again from 9 to 3 Sunday.
Admission is only $5, with law enforcement, fire fighters and first-responders getting in free with identification.
Kids younger than 13 also get in free, and if you keep your Saturday armband, you can get in Sunday for free, as well.
Westmoreland says vendor space is still available. For more information, visit Friends of Grimes County on Facebook, or email ostrich@txcyber.com.
