CHI St. Joseph Hospital’s in our area have received the TMF Hospital Quality Improvement Award.
According to a news release, the award is for undertaking quality initiatives to improve outcomes in patient care and improve its performance on specific national quality measures. The Bellville Hospital, CHI St. Joseph in Grimes and the CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital received the Bronze Award while the Burleson Hospital received gold.
The award is based on achievements from 2016-2017. To earn bronze status, Regional Hospital reported at least one measure set for Inpatient Quality Reporting and Outpatient Quality Reporting programs and attained a 10-percent improvement in re-admissions or a rate of 5 percent or less. Regional was among 51 hospitals earning this honor.
CHI recently announced they will no longer be an operating partner with the Bellville Hospital, ceasing operations there by May 7th.
