After months and months of decisions, meetings, arguments and consideration, the City of Navasota finally has a plan for the installation of the one million gallon groundwater storage dank.
At Monday night’s Navasota city council meeting, City Manager Brad Stafford pointed out the concessions DN Tanks made in their offer to fix the tank, which saw its ground floor get cracked in the Fall following a rain storm.
“DN Tanks has made a proposal. They proposed to construct a new monolithic slab floor in the tank, to provide two, and possibly four, groundwater monitoring wells. They will also perform geophysical studies of the foundation of the tank…and they have also offered a ten year warranty on that floor,” Stafford said.
The council, after meeting in executive session, unanimously approved DN Tanks proposal for the fix and the warranty. No timetable is set yet for construction or completion of the tank.
