Three arrested on drug charges at Texas Renaissance Festival

Three people were arrested on various drug charges at the Texas Renaissance Festival last Friday.

The collaborative effort between the Texas Renaissance Festival Security team, Navasota PD, the Grimes county Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office has had the goal of combating concerns of narcotics trafficking and narcotics related medical calls.

Authorities set into motion an operation that ended int he arrest of several people on several charges. Part of the investigation resulted in recovery of methamphetamine, GHB, commonly known as the date rape drug, LSD acid, molly and heroin.

The three arrested were identified at 29 year old Eric Webb of Houston, 24 year old Samantha Kowis of Conroe and 20 year old Nina Quigley of Houston.

Webb was charged with five second degree felonies for delivery of a controlled substance, and three state jail felonies for delivery of a controlled substance. Lowis and Quigley face felony drug charges.

All three were booked into the Grimes County Jail. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
