A man from Madisonville, wanted on charges in two other counties, was arrested on Monday afternoon in Bryan.
According to the arrest report, Bryan Police responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart. The officer followed the suspects car until it pulled into a driveway about a mile away.
The pursuing officer recognized the man from previous thefts. The suspect is accused of pulling away from the officer and running. He was tackled and arrested by a second officer.
The man is identified as 32 year old Jason turner of Madisonville. He faces charges of Stealing 73 Dollars of Merchandise with Three Prior Convictions, Evading and Resisting Arrest and Possession of K-2.
Turner is also being held on theft charges out of Limestone and Houston counties.
