Grimes County has its third confirmed case of COVID-19.
Emergency management coordinator for the county David Lilly announced the confirmed case on Monday afternoon. According to the press release, it is a man in his 60s who contracted the virus from outside the state, making his case travel related. He his currently self-isolating.
The Department of Health Services continues to note that there are no cases of community spread in Grimes County.
County Judge Joe Fauth said in the release he believes citizen’s are doing what they are told as far as social distancing, and that some have gone above and beyond what recommendations called.
In total, there are now 60 confirmed cases in the Brazos Valley.
