Grimes County has its ninth case of COVID-19.
The eighth case was 62 year old Leonard Clerkly, an inmate at the Pack Unity in Navasota, who died on April 11th. A second inmate has tested positive, making it the ninth case in the conty.
The patient is identified as a man in his 70s who is isolated rom the inmate population, according to county emergency management coordinator David lilly.
11 other inmates were tested based on possible contact with the infected inmate. All tested negative for the virus.
