A two vehicle accident south of Navasota on Sunday afternoon resulted in five injuries.
Texas DPS says the incident happened at Highway 6 and FM 2 around 4:30 pm on Sunday. A Chevy 35 pickup truck, with two occupants, was crossing Highway 6, when it was struck by a Chevy Tahoe, carrying four people.
The four people inside the Tahoe were taken to hospitals in the Bryan-College Station area, with the driver being flown to CHI St Joseph Regional via helicopter.
One passenger int he pickup suffered minor injuries, while the driver was uninjured. The driver of the truck was cited for Failure to Yield the Right-Of-Way at an Intersection, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
Also assisting at the scene was the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Navasota Fire and the Whitehall Community VFD.
