Some local businesses are trying to do their part in helping others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Executive Director of the Navasota/Grimes County Chamber of Commerce Johnny McNally mentioned a few of them.
“Ergo Genesis, they are looking at doing a blood drive coming up, just trying to coordinate that with them,” said McNally last week.
He mentioned that one local hotel has extended their helping hand to law enforcement.
“The Best Western here recently made some donations to the Navasota Police Department, and also took time with their steam cleaner to steam clean police cars for Navasota PD,” McNally said.
That kind of helping hand though, to McNally, is just commonplace in this area.
“We’re living in a great community and see that every day…just want everyone to keep that in mind as they’re going out and facing these challenges,” said McNally.
Also mentioned by the Executive Director was the positive note of seeing ongoing construction projects at the Historic Grimes County Courthouse and new Justice Center continue through the pandemic.
