Three Navasota men were arrested in College Station on Wednesday morning, following reports of suspicious activity.
College Station Police tweeted Wednesday that they had received calls about suspicious behavior in the Creek Meadows Subdivision in the city. A suspect was caught on video entering a vehicle without the owners permission around 3:10 am.
One of the men was caught jumping fences in the area of Turkey Meadow Court. That suspect was caught after a brief foot chase, and was only identified as a juvenile from Navasota. He was arrested for Evading on Foot and Criminal Trespass.
Shortly after that, a man sitting in a car on Clear Meadow Creek began driving away upon an officers arrival. Contact was made with the driver, who was arrested for two warrants, one for Burglary out of Grimes County, and another for Criminal Trespass out of Brazos County. He was identified as 21 year old Devonte Oaks of Navasota.
The third suspect was apprehended around 8:10 am, after a resident reported another suspicious male on Still Creek Loop. He was arrested and identified as 17 year old Rubin Ethel Jr., who was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Minor in Possession of Tobacco, and a warrant for Theft out of Grimes County. He was also charged with Theft of a Firearm, which was taken from a vehicle in the area.
CSPD says they received seven total reports of burglaries to cars in the subdivision and that additional charged are possible.
