Authorities have arrested five Navasota men in a multi-agency operation investigation involving shooting, robbery and drugs.
Navasota Police say that several agencies assisted in executing search warrants in town last Thursday evening. The first warrants were executed in the 500 block of Laredo Street, which stemmed from an April 8th robbery and shooting.
The searches continued in the 800 block of Spur 515, where Navasota PD found one of the men outside the home with several baggies of marijuana and bottles of liquid codeine. Inside the home, officers found more than five ounces of marijuana, a gun, stolen property and more than 50,000 dollars cash.
The five men arrested were identified as 25 year old Latrance Washington, 21 year old Davonte Oaks, 19 year old Michael Oaks, 18 year old Dekemius Jessie, and 17 year old Rubin Ethel, all of which are from Navasota.
Navasota PD says they had been working with College Station Police on recent vehicle thefts and burglaries in both cities. It is believed by investigators that several of the suspects are linked to the thefts, with some items recovered last Thursday linked to the thefts. The cases remain under investigation.
Assisting was the College Station SWAT Team, Brazos County SWAT, the DEA, ATF, Grimes County Sheriff’s, and District Attorney’s Office.
