There is a new RV park coming to Navasota.
At last night’s Navasota City Council meeting, a specific use permit application was discussed for the development, which would be at 9524 Highway 6 South, near the Western Club Bar and Grill and La Casita.
The Planning and Zoning Committee approved the application on the 25th. Mayor Bert Miller added the lot will have 42 total spaces.
“The layout, I think a lot of time was taken to make it look really nice. Now, we’ll have a place. Right now, folks are having to either go to Bryan, College Station or Caldwell even to have their RV’s. So, we’re really excited,” said Miller.
Councilman Grant Holt noted the setup of the park is an easy access on and off Highway 6.
“The location of it, is not going to be in full view of everything. I mean, the majority of it, or about half of it, is going to be behind the Western Steakhouse (Bar & Grill), which is not, I think it is going to be good for him, for people going to eat and stuff,” said Holt.
Community Development Director Guadalupe Diosdado said everything plan wise was up to par as well.
“The site plan has been review by our engineer, to make sure it meets all of our codes and requirements that apply, and it did meet those requirements,” Diosdado said.
City Council approved the specific use permit for the new RV Park on Highway 6. There is no set date for construction of the park.
