Another uptick in COVID-19 cases for Grimes county this week has put the county at 400 since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the press release sent Monday, the county added 44 new cases in the weekly update, with 229 of the cases currently active. 192 total cases have been in Navasota, who currently have 114 active.
More news in the recovery genre this week, as there have been 167 recoveries reported, and 114 of those being in Navasota.
3,402 tests have been performed in the county.
The press release has no Texas Department of Criminal Justice numbers, but their dashboard online says there are 32 active cases currently at the Pack unit. Those are split, with 16 cases apiece for offenders and employees. At the Luther Unit, there are 12 active cases, with 7 of them employees and 5 of them offenders.
