Active cases continue to drop, as Grimes County adds a cluster of new cases in the weekly COVID-19 update.
According to the release on Monday, Grimes County has seen 582 cases since March 2020, which is up from 523 last week. However, active cases dropped off significantly this week, as 64 are currently active, which is down from 103 last week.
Recoveries continue to increase, as the county now has 508 recoveries total, an increase of 87 from last week.
The running death total since March 2020 continues to sit at 10.
5,655 tests have been performed in the county.
As for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, active cases at the Pack Unit continue to fall, according to their online dashboard. There are 3 active cases at the Pack unit, with one of them being an offender and two of them employees.
For the Luther Unit, there is one more active case than there was last week. There are 16 total there, with 5 of them offenders and 11 of them employees.
