A pound of meth found on Sunday resulted in the arrest of a North Zulch man.
According to authorities, a male driver did not stop for a stop sign when turning onto Highway 47 from Leonard Road, west of Bryan. Upon pulling the man over, a K-9 unit sniffed the truck, which indicated there were drugs present. Following a search, troopers found a pound of meth in the truck toolbox.
In addition to that, they found a scale, loaded syringe, and another bag of meth in the cab.
The man was arrested, and identified as 56 year old James Byrd of North Zulch.
He was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
