The weekly Grimes County COVID-19 update was the best one yet, as the county adds one total positive case to the running total.
According to the press release on Tuesday, the county is now at 583 total cases since March 2020, which is up just 1 from last week. Active cases fell off once again dropping 10 total to have 54 currently active in the county.
Recoveries slowly rise again, as there have been 521 recoveries, which is up 13 from last week.
The running death total remains at 10 since March 2020.
6,162 tests have been performed in the county, according to the release.
For the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, there is good news for the pack Unit, as the TDCJ dashboard says the lockdown has been lifted there. There remains one active case, which is an employee, and zero active cases among offenders.
For the Luther Unit, they remain on lockdown, as cases decrease from last week by one. There are 16 active cases, with 5 of them offenders and 11 employees.
