This week’s Grimes County COVID-19 update adds another 13 cases to the running total, and subtracts one death.
According to the news release on Tuesday morning, the county has seen a total of 683 cases since March 2020, which is up 13 from last week. In all, 75 cases are active currently, an increase of 3 from last week, with 39 of those active cases in Navasota.
Recovery wise, the numbers continue to grow, as 590 now have recovered in the county, with 297 of those being in Navasota.
Last week saw 7 new deaths added to the toll, but one of those was removed this week, to have the death total since March 2020 stand at 19 for Grimes County.
Just over 10,000 total tests have been performed.
In the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the roller coaster of active cases continues for the units in Grimes County.
Out at the Pack Unit, after a week of not being on their COVID-19 dashboard, is now back on it, with 4 total active cases, one of them an offender and three employees. At the Luther Unit, there are 5 active cases, with all five of them being offenders at this time.
