A Montgomery County man is being charged with murder, after his roommate was found dead over the weekend.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a residence in Magnolia around 8 pm Saturday night, after a call requested a welfare check.
Investigators say that upon arrival, deputies were et with the strong odor of decomposition, and when they entered, found the victim dead in the bedroom.
Officers reported that the original caller for the welfare check said a man told them he had killed his roommate.
As officers were investigating the scene, the suspect pulled up in the victims vehicle, where he was taken into custody, and soon charged with his roommates death.
Signs of foul play were found on the victim, and inside the home.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested and identified the suspect as a 28 year old man from Magnolia.
The cause of death has not been reported, and both the victim’s identity and the suspect’s identity have been withheld.
No further information has been released.
