Another weekly COVID-19 update from Grimes County sees an increase in cases and two death added to the running toll.
According to the press release sent on Monday, the county saw an increase of 26 cases from last week’s update, which puts the total number in the county since March at 747 cases.
Active cases only very slightly increased, however, with the number sitting at 91, just an increase of 1 from last week. Of those, 57 of the cases are active in Navasota.
Recovery wise, 638 have recovered, which is up 25 from the update last week. 315 of those recoveries have been in Navasota.
As noted, two more deaths were added to the running total for Grimes County, which is now at 21 since March. Those are not necessarily deaths recorded in the last week, and might have been from recent months, after delays in getting death certificates.
In total, 11,111 tests have been performed in Grimes County.
For the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, there was good news this week, as the TDCJ dashboard has neither the Pack Unit nor the Luther Unit on their site for having active cases. Both were on the list as of Thursday last week, but are no longer, as of Monday, November 16th.
