Anderson-Shiro CISD has moved to a virtual format for the rest of this week, following a spike in COVID cases at the school.
In a video to the district on Tuesday, superintendent Scott Beene assured the community that there is no need for panic. He noted that there are only 5 active cases in the district, and there have been just 11 since starting school August 22nd.
The district will be doing the virtual format for the next two days only, today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday), before taking a full week off for Thanksgiving break next week.
All athletic events for the district are canceled through the Thanksgiving break.
The plan, according to Beene, is for face to face classes to resume on November 30th.
