As the State Highway 249 project begins looping into Grimes County, officials are reminding you to be careful when driving Highway 105, west or east of Navasota, near the construction zone.
“Please be careful, it is very confusing. The signage, particularly at night…I witnessed someone driving the wrong way. So, just be cautious of that area where the construction is,” said Commissioner Barbara Walker during the Wednesday meeting of Commissioner’s Court
County Judge Joe Fauth echoed those comments as well.
“It is kind of a hazardous area, they have reduced speed, but most drivers do not seem to pay attention to that,” said Fauth.
“It is not the speed, it is the directions,” said Walker.
Commissioner David Dobyanski said he talked with TXDOT recently about getting more clear signage in the area.
