A former Navasota woman faces aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges after hitting her boyfriend with a pistol.
The Bryan Police arrest report says the incident happened Wednesday afternoon, on East 25th in Bryan. The boyfriend of the woman called, stating he had been hit in the face by his girlfriend of one year with a Glock handgun.
The man had blood coming from his face, with abrasions below the right eye and on his nose. The man also had scratch marks on his neck. He stated he fell asleep on the couch, when the girlfriend came through an unlocked door, chambered a round into the firearm, and struck him once in the face.
Responding officers then saw a car they knew contained the woman drive by the home, and initiated a stop. In the back seat, in plain view, was a Taurus 357 revolver, and the Glock in the passenger seat.
Witness statements confirmed how the events transpired. The woman was arrested, and identified as 24 year old Haley Rane Parker of College Station, formerly Navasota.
She was booked in the Brazos county jail on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. She was released Friday after posting a $14,000 bond.
