A Navasota man was arrested Sunday afternoon, after a disturbance call in Bryan.
The BPD arrest report states dispatch received a call from a woman, who said she was disabled and could not move, and a male was attempting to take her phone. A struggle was heard over the phone, and call back attempts went straight to voicemail.
Police arrived to the residence on Rebecca Street, and separated the two parties.
The female stated the two got into an argument when she invited the man over to stay the night. When she requested assistance getting off the toilet, the man refused, and became agitated. When the woman called 911, the man took the phone. She stated he stood over her, saying “I will beat the [expletive] out of you.”
Another witness stated he heard the disturbance, and the man berating the woman for her physical stature and health conditions.
The man was arrested, and identified as 34 year old Eldrin Eugene Greenwood. He was charged with Interfering with an Emergency Call, and Assault by Threat Family Violence. At last check, he remains in jail on a $5,000 bond.
