A crash between Brenham and Navasota on Monday night claimed the life of an infant.
That happened around 7:30 pm along Highway 105 near FM 390. Preliminary investigation says a 2014 Jeep SUV and 2006 Dodge Pickup were traveling east along 105, when the Jeep stooped in the roadway to turn into a private driveway. The driver of the Dodge did not slow down, hitting the Jeep.
Fur passengers in the Jeep were taken to the hospital. The driver, 27 year old Mayra Reyes Gonzalez, 28 year old Rodolfo Navarro, plus a two year old and seven month old in the back seat. The seven month old suffered incapacitating injuries, and died later at the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as a 16 year old from Washington County, refused treatment on scene.
No word if any charges will be filed, as an investigation is ongoing.
