Accusations of cheating turn physical and ends with a Navasota man in jail facing a Family Violence charge.
The arrest report from Bryan Police says they got a call for assault with injury Sunday night, and arrived to a residence on Staunton Drive in Bryan to see a Hispanic male without his shirt on.
The man, identified as 31 year old Patrick Anthony Garza of Navasota, said there was no physical altercation, stating the two simply had an argument after he accused the woman of cheating on him with his brother.
The woman stated the argument happened after the two got home from spending the day in Navasota. According tot he report, the woman says Garza pulled her from bed, pinned her down, and assaulted her with his elbow. She then stated that he put his hands around her neck and strangled her during the altercation for about 5 seconds, before her sister walked in the room.
Officers observed visible wounds on the woman’s neck and head. Garza was taken to jail, and faces a charge of Assault Family Violence with Impeding Breathing.
He remains jailed, at last check, on bonds totaling $8,000.
