A near 6 month investigation into the sale of a handgun that was involved in a Deadly Conduct incident lands a former Navasota man in jail.
College Station Police responded to the original incident March 13th, where they arrested a man involved who had a 9 mm Smith and Wesson on him.
The man said he got it from a man with the street name “Davey,” who lived with a woman near his apartment. “Davey” told the man he could not have a gun anymore, with approximate sale taking place in September 2021. His girlfriend also confirmed “Davey” to have sold a gun, and that he was not supposed to possess one.
“Davey” was eventually identified as 38 year old Sedric Andre Johnson, formerly of Navasota. Johnson, a five time convicted felon, was convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance in March 2020.
Johnson faces a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He is in jail on bonds which total $20,000.
