A new Executive Director for the Grimes County Chamber of Commerce has been chosen.
“Election’s Administrator Lucy Ybarra has turned in her resignation, effective December 27th…she is taking the position of Executive Director for the Navasota/Grimes County Chamber of Commerce,” said County Judge Joe Fauth at Wednesday’s meeting of Commissioner’s Court.
The announcement comes after current Executive Director Johnny McNally announced he is retiring at the end of the year.
That means now, a void is left to fill in the Election Administrator’s Office.
“Starting pay for that, based on qualifications, is $50,000 per year,” said Fauth.
He also mentioned numerous other job opportunities with the county, which he says will be posted in coming editions of the Navasota Examiner.
