As Navasota continues it’s rapid growth resident wise, so becomes a need for growth on the business side as well.
Mayor Bert Miller provided a Board and Commission update at Monday’s City Council meeting, saying the Board of Adjustment held a hearing to approve some new office space in town.
“That will be constructed at 114 Austiana Hills Drive…it will be a three occupant, small strip center. And I believe the intent is it will be combined office and retail,” said Miller.
He did not mention a timeline for construction, and the variance request would need to be approved by city council first.
Miller also provided an update from the latest Planning and Zoning meeting.
“There was a proposed site plan for the store, which in its presented form, was rejected by Planning and Zoning,” said Miller. “It will likely be brought back, though, in a different form.”
He did not mention where that convenience store would possibly be located, or what brand of store it was.
