According to the deputy constable’s arrest report, the northbound motorcycle was initially clocked going 85 in a 75 mile per hour zone. Then the motorcycle accelerated, weaved between lanes, and drove in the middle of the lanes. The seven mile pursuit ended when the motorcyclist decided to not pass a semi and pulled over about a mile south of the Peach Creek Road exit. The arrest report noted that when the motorcyclist turned off his engine, he was caught off guard when the bike lurched forward…which the deputy found suspicious because experienced drivers will not disengage the clutch until after the motor quits running. The deputy learned that the driver did not have a motorcycle license and the bike belonged to his father. That led to the arrest of 32 year old James Garrett Jordan of Houston for evading arrest.
