At the most recent Navasota Planning and Zoning meeting on April 13th, there was a lot of discussion about a zoning change application for an area off of CR 424 to change from an AG Open Space District to Pecan Lakes Estates Phase 3 Planned Unit Development (PUD). Resident John Gearhart said that the new additions would affect the home values in the neighborhood.
At Monday’s City Council Meeting, Resident Max Hill spoke in support of the zoning change.
One main concern was the minimum home size in the PUD, Navasota’s Development Services Director, Lupe Diosdado addressed that issue.
City Council voted to approve the zoning change application and first reading of ordinance 1019-23. Council will vote on the second reading, and if approved, will make the ordinance effective on May 8th.
