Navasota’s history runs deep with a connection to the infamous Bonnie and Clyde Story, who was home to Frank Hamer, the City Marshal in the early 1900s, also known as the lawman who later led the 1934 posse that tracked down and killed Bonnie and Clyde. “We’re excited to bring this particular show to Navasota to pay homage to Navasota’s history with the Bonnie & Clyde story,” says Bobbie Lehrmann, Marketing & Communications Director.
Texas Comedies, based in Austin, creates, and performs throughout Texas. Recent shows include The Feud (about the Sutton-Taylor feud in the 1870s), Prohibition (about banning booze in Texas in 1918), Alamo Aftermath and Murders & Moontowers. This production is supported in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts.
