On Friday, July 14th Navasota Police officers pulled over a vehicle on the Texas 6 Northbound feeder for an equipment violation.
As the officer approached the vehicle of 4 occupants, the odor of marijuana was detected and upon further observance, a pistol was seen between the passenger seat and center console. Officers were informed by the 4 passengers, after exiting the vehicle, that there were more firearms in the vehicle. Upon further investigation of the vehicle, two pistols and an AR 15, one of which was verified stolen from College Station, were seized. Along with the firearms, officers seized marijuana, a THC vape and Xanax pills.
All four occupants from Navasota were arrested and booked into the Grimes County Jail. Cashtion Douglas, 19, was charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm. His bond was $3500.
17 year old Juan Murillo’s charges included the Class B Misdemeanor of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2, a State Jail Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 3, a Class A Misdemeanor with bonds totaling $15,500. Camerino Rodriguez, 17 was charged with a Class B Misdemeanor of Possession of mairjuana. His bond was $1500. 23 year old Donavon Rodriguez was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, a State Jail Felony, Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor with bonds totaling $15,500.
